Gorgeous pictures.
I love your podcast.
I am very happy you are back. ;)
Hi Stephan,
I have found your blog today, it is very interesting. Could you reccomend any of your podcasts for me to listen to and try and translate on a beginners level? I have been learning German at Night School for the last 3 years, but have difficulty when listening to Germans speak and understanding what they are saying. I wonder if you can help.
Regards, Neil in the UK.
Hi Stephan
Yes, I'm very glad you are back too! Though I listen to all your podcasts, I am a more 'experienced' student of German and really appreciate these occasional advanced lessons. (I use the basic ones as vocabulary drills, and I like the lessons on culture you provide too.)
What makes your podcast so much better than anything else I've heard is that you provide context. Hearing you alternate between German and English really helps me to better understand what you are talking about. When I watch something like Deutsche Welle or die Tagesschau, I find it quite difficult to understand without having that underlying context.
Thanks again!
Carl
