101 - Learn to Speak German- Chapter 1

In todays German lesson I read an excerpt from the book "Welcome to Switzerland", provide you with a number of new flashcards with German vocabulary and tell you how beautiful the autumn in Switzerland is (wie schön der Herbst in der Schweiz ist) . . .
The next lesson is already in the making and it will teach you all you need to know about Possesivpronomen (mein Haus, meine Katze, etc.) . . .

Die Bilder sind vom Flughafen Zürich . I sometimes change train there on my way to work. That always makes me want to go on a looong holiday again .-)

Good stuff!
Any chance of a link to a similar podcast in Swiss German? For some reason I love that dialect. I hear it at work sometimes (UBS), also had a chance to experience it during my trip to Switzerland (Baden, AG). Next time I go I would like to be able to say a few things. Because whatever I was told that in Switzerland knowing English is enough, its not true :) I got burned a few times when face-to-face with 'simple folks' who didnt know any English or perhaps didnt want to talk in English. :)

In some of the lessons I got a friend to speak in Swiss German. Personally I do not speak more than a few words and the "locals" always realize at once that I am German, so it seems I don't pronounce it correctly .-)
